Basic Concepts of Home Defense

Have you ever contemplated what your best plan would be if, heaven forbid, you have to face a home intruder? Many people think, “we live in a safe neighborhood, that won’t happen here, and if it does, I will just call the police.” Alternatively, if you are aware that safety is somewhat of an illusion, and you realize that any home can be the target of a home invasion, this class might be for you.
In our concepts of home defense, we cover topics like:
- When and how to barricade in a safe place
- Communicating with 911 while securing an area of your home
- Methods to move through the house if you must retrieve children or other loved ones
- Things to consider when deploying a firearm in the house
- If these are topics that you have thought about but are not sure how to approach them, this is a great opportunity to come and learn.
The class will split time between the classroom and the range. It is not strictly a shooting course. There is shooting, but there will be a thought provoking presentation where you can take the principles taught and apply them to your own home.
